Last weekend, Troopers from the New Jersey Latino Trooper Society (NJLATS) coordinated a youth soccer clinic in collaboration with the Elizabeth Youth Soccer (EYS) Club.
Coaching at the event was Trooper Angela Correia, originally from Elizabeth, who was the first female to play for EYS and also played for the Portuguese national team. She told the players they were capable of anything they set their mind to if they work hard.
Midway through the training, the NJSP Aviation Unit provided a fly over at the field and the players all waved to them as a thank you. One player even said that was going to be him one day!

All children in attendance went home with a free soccer ball and a bag of school supplies provided by NJLATS and Lady Blue and Gold.
