This week, members of NJLATS participated in the 2025 Police Unity Tour, representing the New Jersey State Police. The event is a powerful tradition held annually to honor law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Police Unity Tour marks the start of National Police Week with a meaningful bicycle ride to Washington, D.C. Riders come from eight different chapters located along the East Coast, each starting from various locations and converging as they make their way to the National Law Enforcement Memorial. This unifying ride is both a tribute and a call to remember those who have fallen while serving their communities.
Beyond honoring the heroes, the Police Unity Tour has two key goals: raising awareness about the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers and raising much-needed funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. These funds support the ongoing preservation of the memorial, educational programs, and outreach efforts that keep the stories of fallen officers alive.
By participating in this important event, NJLATS members show their solidarity and commitment to supporting law enforcement and their families. Through their ride, they help ensure that the bravery and dedication of these officers are never forgotten.
